Rwanda's 2026 dividend season belongs to its two flagship domestic listings. BK Group — the parent of Bank of Kigali, the country's largest lender — declared a RWF 32.5 per share final for FY2025 that landed at roughly a 10.5% yield at declaration. Bralirwa, the Heineken-group brewer of Primus and Mützig, paid RWF 75 per share, about a 7.5% declaration yield.
This tracker covers RSE-listed companies with declared 2026 dividend events in our Rwanda dividend calendar. Amounts are in Rwandan francs (RWF) per share, gross before withholding tax.
Quick summary:
- 2 tracked dividends declared in 2026 so far — BK Group and Bralirwa, both FY2025 finals paid in June.
- BK Group's payout carried a double-digit declaration yield (~10.5%); Bralirwa came in around 7.5%.
- Rwanda rewards stock-market investors with a reduced 5% withholding rate on dividends from RSE-listed securities for Rwandan and EAC residents (the standard rate is 15%).
- The RSE's other equities are mostly Kenyan cross-listings (KCB, Equity Group, NMG) plus MTN Rwanda, I&M Bank Rwanda and Cimerwa — declarations from those names are tracked as they are confirmed on their home boards.

## Company Notes
BK Group — RWF 32.5 final. Bank of Kigali is Rwanda's banking system in miniature: the largest lender by assets, branches and profits, and the RSE's anchor listing (it also carries a cross-listing in Nairobi). The FY2025 final — ex May 15, paid June 12 — extended its record as the market's most reliable cash returner, and at roughly 10.5% at declaration it was one of the richer bank yields anywhere in East Africa this season.
Bralirwa — RWF 75 final. The Heineken-majority brewer — Primus, Mützig, Amstel, plus Coca-Cola bottling for Rwanda — remains the RSE's consumer bellwether. Its RWF 75 final (ex May 23, paid June 20) put a ~7.5% declaration yield on the board. Bralirwa was the RSE's first listing in 2011 and has paid through most of the years since.
## What Stood Out This Season
A June payment cluster, again. Like Tanzania next door, Rwanda's two anchor payers both paid within eight days of each other in mid-June. Investors wanting the 2027 editions need to be holding before the mid-May ex-dates.
The domestic pair carries the market. The RSE lists ten equities, but most are Kenyan cross-listings whose dividends are declared and paid on the Nairobi board. For income earned from Rwandan operations, BK Group and Bralirwa are the season — with MTN Rwanda the name to watch for future declarations.
## How Rwanda's Dividend Tax Works
Rwanda's standard withholding tax on dividends is 15% — but dividends on securities listed on the Rwanda Stock Exchange attract a reduced 5% rate for residents of Rwanda and the East African Community. It is one of Africa's most deliberate capital-markets incentives, and it makes a listed 10% declaration yield worth roughly 9.5% net to a local holder.
