The Ivorian arm of the French banking group is one of the BRVM's most profitable listings, and its FY2025 distribution — ex May 22, paid June 18 — carried the season's standout declaration yield at ~11.4%. SGCI's dividend has grown with Ivorian credit demand through the country's sustained 6%+ GDP growth run, and the bank routinely distributes the majority of earnings.

Sonatel — FCFA 1,500. The Dakar-headquartered, Orange-controlled telecom group is the BRVM's largest listing and its bellwether dividend. The FY2025 final of FCFA 1,500 per share (ex June 10, paid July 5) yielded ~7.9% at declaration. Sonatel operates across Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone, with Orange Money a growing share of the cash machine funding the payout.

Ecobank Transnational — FCFA 1.8. ETI's per-share figure looks tiny because the share itself trades in the low double digits of FCFA — the ~7.2% declaration yield is what matters. The FY2025 payment (ex May 15, paid June 12) continues the group's return to regular distributions as profitability across its 30+ country network has recovered.

Currency stability changes the calculus. A ~8–11% yield in cedis or naira embeds devaluation risk; a ~8–11% yield in CFA francs — pegged to the euro since 1999 — does not, at least not against the euro. For euro-based investors, the BRVM is arguably the continent's cleanest pure-income market.
