The most interesting thing about Zimbabwe's 2026 dividend season is the currency: it isn't the one on the screen. ZSE shares are quoted in Zimbabwe Gold (ZWG), but the exchange's two biggest payers — Delta Corporation and Econet Wireless — declare their dividends in US dollars. Delta's FY2026 final of 3.0 US cents took its full-year payout to 5.0 cents, up 52%; Econet has gone further and now pays quarterly USD dividends.

This tracker covers ZSE-listed companies with dividend events in 2026, verified against company dividend notices.

Quick summary:

  • 3 tracked dividend events so far in 2026, all US-dollar declarations: Delta's final (paid 17 June) and Econet's February- and May-quarter interims.
  • Delta's FY2026 total of 5.0 US cents per share is up 52% on the prior year's 3.3 cents.
  • Econet has moved to a quarterly dividend rhythm — 0.61c for the quarter ended February, 0.60c for the quarter ended May — unusual anywhere in Africa.
  • Zimbabwe's withholding tax on dividends from listed companies is 10% (15% for unlisted).

## Company Notes

Delta Corporation — USD 0.030 final, FY2026 total 0.050. The Castle and Chibuku brewer is the ZSE's largest company and its most dependable dividend machine, paying semi-annually through every phase of Zimbabwe's currency saga (its FY runs to March; the 2.0-cent interim was paid in December 2025). Most of Delta's revenue is collected in US dollars at the till, which is exactly what lets it declare in hard currency — and the 52% full-year increase says the dollarised cash flows are growing.

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe — quarterly USD dividends. Zimbabwe's dominant mobile operator declared 0.61 US cents for the quarter ended 28 February 2026 and 0.60 cents for the quarter ended 31 May 2026. A quarterly cash dividend is rare on any African exchange; from a company that couldn't pay at all through the hyperinflation years, it is a statement about how thoroughly airtime and data revenues have dollarised.

## What Stood Out This Season

Hard-currency payouts, soft-currency quotes. A ZWG-quoted share paying a USD dividend is the cleanest expression of the Zimbabwean investment case: equities as a claim on dollarised cash flows. For income investors, the math only makes sense measured in USD — which is how both companies declare.

Econet's quarterly experiment. Four smaller payments a year instead of one or two large ones smooths remittance and exchange-control friction for shareholders — and other dollarised ZSE names may follow.

Watch the banks. CBZ, FBC and NMB have all paid in recent years across ZWG and USD declarations. As results land through the year, expect this tracker to fill out.

## How Zimbabwe's Dividend Tax Works

Zimbabwe withholds 10% on dividends paid by companies listed on the ZSE (15% for unlisted companies), deducted at source — including USD-denominated distributions. Payments to foreign shareholders additionally require exchange-control approval under the prevailing remittance guidelines.

## FAQ

Which Zimbabwean companies have paid dividends in 2026? Delta Corporation (3.0 US cents final, paid June 17, 2026 — FY2026 total 5.0 cents) and Econet Wireless (quarterly interims of 0.61 and 0.60 US cents for the February and May 2026 quarters).

Why do ZSE companies pay dividends in US dollars? Because much of their revenue is collected in USD in Zimbabwe's heavily dollarised economy. Declaring in hard currency protects the payout's value regardless of where the ZWG trades.

What is the dividend withholding tax in Zimbabwe? 10% for ZSE-listed companies, 15% for unlisted companies, withheld at source.
