The most interesting thing about Zimbabwe's 2026 dividend season is the currency: it isn't the one on the screen. ZSE shares are quoted in Zimbabwe Gold (ZWG), but the exchange's two biggest dividend payers — Delta Corporation and Econet Wireless — both declared their FY2025 finals in US dollars: 2.4 US cents and 1.2 US cents per share respectively, paid in late June.

This tracker covers ZSE-listed companies with declared 2026 dividend events in our Zimbabwe dividend calendar.

Quick summary:

  • 2 tracked dividends declared in 2026 so far — Delta Corporation and Econet Wireless, both FY2025 finals, both US-dollar declarations, both paid in the last week of June.
  • Declaration yields: Delta ~4.6%, Econet ~3.1% — real hard-currency returns on ZWG-quoted shares.
  • USD dividends are the point: with most formal-sector sales collected in dollars, Zimbabwe's blue chips distribute in hard currency even while their share prices trade in ZWG.
  • Zimbabwe's withholding tax on dividends from listed companies is 10% (15% for unlisted).

## Company Notes

Delta Corporation — USD 0.024 final. The Castle and Chibuku brewer is the ZSE's largest company and its most dependable dividend machine, distributing twice a year through every phase of Zimbabwe's currency saga. Most of Delta's revenue is collected in US dollars at the till, which is exactly what lets it declare in hard currency — the June 30 payment continued an unbroken run of USD distributions.

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe — USD 0.012 final. Zimbabwe's dominant mobile operator paid 1.2 US cents per share on June 25. Telecom cash flows, increasingly dollarised through airtime and data purchases, have restored Econet's capacity to pay after the hyperinflation years. (Econet's fintech sibling EcoCash Holdings remains the growth story; Econet itself is the cash generator.)

## What Stood Out This Season

Hard-currency payouts, soft-currency quotes. A ZWG-quoted share paying a USD dividend is the cleanest expression of the Zimbabwean investment case: equities as a claim on dollarised cash flows. For income investors, the yield math only makes sense measured in USD — which is how both companies declared.

The late-June window. Both payments landed within five days of each other (June 25 and June 30), with ex-dates in the first week of June. Delta typically adds an interim later in the year; our tracker will pick it up when declared.

Watch the banks. CBZ, FBC and NMB have all paid in recent years across ZWG and USD declarations. As H1 2026 results land from August, expect the tracker to fill out.

## How Zimbabwe's Dividend Tax Works

Zimbabwe withholds 10% on dividends paid by companies listed on the ZSE (15% for unlisted companies), deducted at source. The withholding applies to USD-denominated distributions as declared, so Delta's 2.4-cent payout nets roughly 2.16 US cents for an individual holder.

## How to Track ZSE Dividends

Our Zimbabwe dividend calendar carries declared ZSE dividends with ex-dates, record dates, payment dates and currency of declaration. For the continental picture, see the 2026 African dividends tracker.

## FAQ

Which Zimbabwean companies have paid dividends in 2026? Two tracked so far: Econet Wireless (USD 0.012 per share, paid June 25, 2026) and Delta Corporation (USD 0.024 per share, paid June 30, 2026).

Why do ZSE companies pay dividends in US dollars? Because much of their revenue is collected in USD in Zimbabwe's heavily dollarised economy. Declaring in hard currency protects the payout's value regardless of where the ZWG trades.

What is the dividend withholding tax in Zimbabwe? 10% for ZSE-listed companies, 15% for unlisted companies, withheld at source.
